A Healthy Autumn Dessert

So easy to make, it’s child’s play

You will need: 1 oven proof dish, 1 mixing bowl, 1 spatula/wooden spoon, 1-2 tablespoons, 1-2 teaspoons, knife.

Ingredients

·      50g porridge oats

·      4 large apples

·      5 tbsp. honey

·      40g walnuts, chopped

·      40g raisins (or cranberries, sultanas)

·      1 tsp. cinnamon

·      60g butter, melted

Directions

1.    Preheat oven to 180º C.

2.    First start by preparing the apples, slice the top off the apples and scoop out the core with a teaspoon or an apple corer. Do not go through the bottom of the apple.

3.    In a mixing bowl combine the oats, honey, walnuts, raisins, cinnamon and butter.

4.    Spoon the mixture into the apples until you fill them up.

5.    Then get a shallow oven proof dish and add a little water to it.  Just enough to cover the bottom of it.

6.    Carefully put the apples standing in the water and transfer to the oven.

7.    Allow them to bake for 35 mins.  Then carefully remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10 mins and serve with a big spoon of Greek yogurt.

Soooo good
