Kids Cooking Camp - Camp Kitchen Assistant 2024
Kids Cooking Camp was established in 2017 in ATU in Galway City. It is a fun camp where children of primary school age learn how to cook in a fun and relaxed environment. From time to time we look for someone to fill our camp kitchen assistant positions. Successful candidates must be available for all of the camp dates whether it is Easter camp or summer camp.
Easter Holidays Camps - 8.30am-12.30pm
Week one - March 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th
Week two - April 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th.
Summer Holidays Camps - 8.30am - 12.30pm
7 Weeks in total - July 1st - August 23rd.
(no camp Race Week, no weekends, no bank holidays)
We are looking for a fun loving, responsible candidate to help out in the day to day running of a busy working environment. The successful candidate will enjoy working with children and have some cooking experience. The ideal candidate would be an excellent communicator with can do attitude. On the job training will be provided.
Some of her/his duties will include:
Meeting and greeting parents and children before and after class.
Explaining kitchen etiquette to the children and the do’s and don’ts of the camp.
Setting up the kitchen-classroom before each class begins.
Helping to demonstrate basic cooking techniques and explaining the recipes each day.
Supervising the children as they work through the recipes throughout the camps.
Ensuring the safety of the children during the camps.
Making the camps a fun and positive experience.
Helping to clean down the kitchen after each class.

Training provided.
Must be Garda vetted.
